Appointments

At Energy + Motion we work differently.

We allow 1 hour for your initial appointment which allows us to find out your history, listen to your needs and goals, complete a thorough assessment, work out a treatment plan that suits you, as well as teaching you tips and tricks to support you away from sessions.

Initial appointments are 1 hour as standard. Follow up appointments are usually 1 hour or 30 minutes. Telehealth appointments are also available.

Do you need longer appointments?

Some clients have particularly complex presentations and/or travel from remote and country areas. We also have the flexibility to offer longer than usual initial and follow up appointments to cater for those specific needs where accessing in person services is more limited.

Referrals and Rebates

Private Consultations and Private Health Insurance

You can access and book private Physiotherapy services without a referral.

Payment is required at the time of your appointment via cash or bank transfer. Once payment is received you will be emailed a paid invoice for your records and for claiming directly through your health insurer.

Some health funds will also rebate specific items like braces, TENS machines, compression garments (including SRC products). Please check directly with your health fund.

Medicare Enhance Primary Care (EPC) Referrals

If you have a chronic health conditions, you may be eligible for 5 subsidised Physiotherapy sessions per year. To access Medicare rebates you need a specific Medicare EPC referral from your GP. If claiming  a rebate via Medicare, you will need to make payment on the day via cash or bank transfer and then claim back directly through Medicare using the MyGov/Medicare online portal, submitting a manual claim through the post or in person via your local Medicare centre.

Third Party, WorkCover, DVA or ADF Referrals

If you have either an accepted WorkCover claim or Third Party Compensation Claim, you will also need a valid referral from your GP or Medical Specialist. You will also need to provide details including your claim number, your Claims Manager  and insurer to access private Physiotherapy sessions.

To access private Physiotherapy sessions as a White Card or Gold Card veteran or as a member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) you will also need a valid referral from your GP or Medical Specialist as well as your relevant ADF ID or DVA Card number.

Invoices for your Physiotherapy sessions will be sent directly to the relevant insurer or organisation.

SMS and Email Appointment Reminders

Text message and SMS appointment reminders are sent out two business days before your appointment. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment please contact Wendy directly on 0422 184667 with at least 24 hours notice. If attending please confirm your appointment by replying YES to the reminder.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot attend your appointment please give as much as notice as possible so that your time can be allocated to someone else in need.

Please note that if 24  hours notice is not provided, you may be charged the full appointment fee.
