About Me

Inquisitive. Observant. Analytical. Practical. Problem Solver.

Lover of travel, photography, sport, cooking and nature.

I’m Wendy Langshaw

I offer a unique whole body, top to toe approach.  I work holistically and use longer than usual appointments so we create a solid foundation to get the root cause of your issues. I take time to listen, time to observe, and time to watch you move.

I have almost 30 years of experience working and teaching as a Physiotherapist both in Australia and in the UK. I draw on a combination of approaches including hands-on therapy, exercise rehabilitation and functional retraining, Pilates and Yoga, and include other approaches such Dermoneuromodulation (DNM), acupuncture and mindfulness.

My Experience

I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) with first class honours from the University of South Australia in 1996 and gained a solid grounding in public practice, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological Physiotherapy in my early years of work. During this time I also gained extensive experience in aquatic Physiotherapy/hydrotherapy, pain management and lymphodema management. After initially moving to private practice full time in 1999 I later blended private practice and public work, including working part time as the Physiotherapist in the maternity wards at both Flinders Private Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre and at the 3 week intensive COPER Pain Management programme at Flinders Medical Centre.

I started BodyMotion Physiotherapy and Bellies, backs & babies in Adelaide in 2000 before moving to London in 2006 where I initially worked in the NHS musculoskeletal clinics throughout central London.  Here I worked with a very diverse caseload including refugees and people from multiple countries, as well as local Londoners and  a number of the Queen’s staff. There I developed a new multidisciplinary pain management programme and Women’s health service. I later moved back into private practice and assisted starting a new and successful Physiotherapy and Pilates private practice in Wimbledon Village where I saw folk from London and had patients travelling from as far afield as Ireland, France and Spain and worked until having my first baby.

During my time in the UK, I completed additional training in women’s health and continence management, acupuncture for musculoskeletal and women’s health conditions, and Pilates training, further adding to my reportoire. While in the UK I also completed intensive training with Canadian and world renowened Physiotherapists and Educators Diane Lee and LJ Lee in their integrated systems model which blended seamlessly into my practice, and later assisted them teaching on their 14 day course in the UK, and LJ Lee’s Sporting Hip and Pelvis Course.

I have also been involved with teaching undergraduate students at UniSA, and teaching postgraduate Physiotherapy courses In Adelaide and in London, and have had professional articles published in Acupuncture and Women’s Health/Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy journals in the UK.

On return to Adelaide with a young family I restarted my private practice work in the Adelaide Hills in 2014. I opened Energy and Motion in Crafers in 2015, working with folk with sports injuries, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal issues as well as running a niche pregnancy, postnatal and Women’s Health Physiotherapy clinic. I also offer blended Pilates/Yoga exercise classes and birth education sessions and workshops. I have hosted various international educators, travel to seek out unique training opportunities and will be teaching Dermoneuromodulation Courses in Australia with Robin Kerr in 2025.

I LOVE the variety and challenge of what I do.

People rarely come to see me when they are at their best. I LOVE seeing people find a way through various challenges, re-establishing comfort and improving function and wellbeing.

I strive to keep up with the latest evidence base and provide you the best possible care.
